Current: Course Instructor, Tyndale University

  • collaborate with educators across Canada to welcome Tyndale's first cohort of teacher candidates - Summer '08
  • develop and deliver courses in Classroom Management, ESL and The Arts for teacher candidates


Current: Student Work Study Teacher (Short-term assignment with PDSB and the LNS until June 2010)

  • research, as part of a short term study team, student work just below provincial standard, and report findings back to the Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat
  • facilitate teacher moderation throughout the teaching and learning critical pathway


2008-2009: Junior Chair & Classroom Teacher, Grade 3/4, Oakridge P.S. (PDSB)

  • develop, deliver, assess differentiated program for ELLs in a combined grade setting
  • facilitate Literacy-based Teaching & Learning Critical Pathway for junior team
  • co-plan and deliver OFIP Numeracy program for at-risk grade 6 students
  • participate in Statistical Neighbours Triad work (assessment/feedback-driven)
  • mentor and supervise teacher candidates from two different Universities



2003-2008: Program Resource Consultant, 
Peel District School Board (PDSB)

  • collaborated with other Board staff to develop and deliver workshops for teachers and administrators at the school, Board and Ministry levels and at conferences
  • communicated Board initiatives and school needs to teachers and administrators
  • oversee--under the guidance of the principal--various administrative operations of the school (Acting VP, spring 08)



2001-2005: Director,  “Discover Toronto: A Multiple Intelligences Approach to the City”

  • managed the daily operation of a small summer program for gifted learners
  • developed, planned & delivered  syllabus, and communicated program progression to parents of campers


1998-2003: Classroom Teacher,  Peel District School Board (PDSB)

  • oversaw the Primary Enhanced Learning Class (PELC) program for grades 1-3
  • developed & implemented IEPs for 18 special needs students, participated on ISRC
  • created resources to meet the needs of diverse learners in the PELC community
  • developed & delivered Music program for grades 1-4, ESL for Grades 1-8
  • acted as a resource & support person for staff surrounding ESL issues
  • instructed intermediate core subjects, including EQAO preparation & delivery
  • administrated and delivered grade seven and eight instrumental music program
  • assessed, and communicated w/ staff, students & families regarding student progress

2000/02: Summer Club Instructor, Royal Ontario Museum
  • developed, planned & delivered courses in a variety of subject areas
  • ensured safe & proper use of Museum materials, galleries & specimens
