Overview
In quoting my fees, I try to balance my travel expenses and time away from my family with your organization’s budget. As an example, I recently earned $1500 for a full-day session, but the same week I did a three-hour musical performance for a non-profit group fo only $50. (However, in the latter case, my kids got to come, and the organization bought me lunch!)
Since I am involved in many different endeavours, my honorariums need not always be paid in cash, which may also save your organization money. I have been given Chapters or Amazon gift certificates, cases of water, meal delivery services and other interesting methods of “payment”, as well as of course cash.
Ballpark Fees
2-hour session for in the GTA (30 participants) - $275
full day workshop outside the GTA (100 participants) - $450 plus travel/meals
3-part course (3 dates within 12 months, same 15 participants each time) - $1200
